Pilot Officer White survived a mid-air collision in Wirraway A20-215 on 8 August 1943 in which Leading Aircraftman Raymond Thomas Cooper (428633) was killed.

While on a cross country navigation exercise, at 1800 hours on 26 November 1943 Vultee Vengeance A27-94 crashed at Mulloon, near Bungendore killing both crew members.
