On 19 January 1941 at 1130 hours Wirraway A20-201 is believed to have broken up in mid-air after the pilot lost control in cloud. The aircraft crashed 5 kms from Barkers Vale Post Office between Kyogle and Murwillumbah, New South Wales. The crew members were:
