Lancaster ED379 took off from RAF Holme-on-Spalding Moor at 2121 hours on the night of 16/17th April 1943, detailed to carry out a raid on Plzen. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take off and it failed to return to base. Post war it was discovered that all crew members had been killed.
