Squadron Leader Robinson was an Australian Cadet trained for the RAF who embarked for the UK on 9 January 1937.

On the morning of 10 February 1943, Squadron Leader Robinson flying Spitfire EE767 was tasked for a circus sortie (bombers heavily escorted by fighters to bring enemy fighters into combat). EE767 was engaged by Fw190 aircraft from JG2 over Caen and Squadron Leader Robinson was killed.
