On 9 July 1943 Blenheim N6183 was one of six aircraft which took off to carry out a raid on the Taungup Road between Yegauk and Shaukpin, Burma. The aircraft was last seen at a height of 500 feet with smoke pouring out of the port engine, which then burst into flames. It crashed into a hillside about 10 miles north-west of Yegauk. Following post war enquiries and investigations, it was recorded that the missing crew members had no known graves.
