Halifax NA674 took off from RAF North Creake at 1735 hours on the night of 9 December 1944, detailed to dispense window (radar jamming aluminium strips) in the direction of Koblenz, Germany. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take-off and it failed to return to base. The aircraft crashed at Kennfus, some 12 kms south west of Cochem on the Mosel, and all the crew members were killed.
