On 13 April 1946, Aircraftman Class I Perry, a Guard, died of injuries when he was involved in an accident when a Clarkton Tractor on which he was riding, ran over a drop of about 30 feet into a gully at the eastern end of the disused Glenbrook railway tunnel and he was crushed by the vehicle.
