MID Citation: “Flying Officer Perrottet is an expert photographic interpreter. He set out all installations in Noemfoor and Labuan so well that plans made before the invasion had to receive little alteration to suit the terrain conditions on landing. Soon after arrival in New Guinea, Flying Officer Perrottet contracted a serious tropical skin disease, which necessitated him living at No. 22 Medical Clearing Station while working at No. 62 Airfield Construction Wing Headquarters. He begged not to be evacuated, and carried on under extreme difficulties and personal distress with outstanding success. His devotion to duty and good example were a source of inspiration to all who served with him.” (Gazette 117/46 of 25 June 1946)

On 15 November 1945, Flying Officer Perrottet’s (Administrative and Special Duties) appointment was terminated on demobilisation and he died of an illness on the 25 November 1946.
