The DVA record shows Flight Lieutenant Percival as a member of No. 12 Squadron

On 28 June 1946, Flight Lieutenant Percival, a Navigator Bomb Aimer, proceeded to Cairns on duty as a member of an aircraft crew. He could not be located for the return journey on 29 June. On the 30 June 1946, his body was discovered at the edge of a cliff at Edgehill near Cairns. He is recorded as having lost his life on the 28 June 1946.
