On 19 April 1915, Second Lieutenant Peacock resigned from the Australian Army and accepted a Commission in the British Army.
During an engine temperature test on 9 September 1917, DH5 aircraft A9166 flown by Second Lieutenant Peacock, went into a spinning nose-dive at 2,000 feet and crashed near the Squadron’s Aerodrome.
