Wellington Z8590 crashed at approximately 1930 hours on 7 November 1942, near Jebel Chantar situated on the south west coast of Malta, south of the town of Siggieui near the entrance to Malta Harbour. The aircraft was on a mission to attack Decimomannu airfield, Greece. All the crew members were killed.
