At about 1900 hours on 19 December 1943, a two inch Trench Mortar bomb exploded in Tent No. 66 and Corporal Parsons, an Armourer, was killed and Corporal John Augustine Stewart (63827) (Discharged: 18 December 1945) and Leading Aircraftman Dalton James Garnham (70042) (Discharged: 7 December 1944) were injured.
