On 2 January 1944, Leading Aircraftman O’Sullivan, a Trainee Pilot, was injured when on duty, as the result of a revolver being discharged accidentally by Leading Aircraftman Walsh, a Guard. Leading Aircraftman O’Sullivan died the following day from his injuries.
