On 18 October 1941, Aircraftman Class I Morrison, a Fitter General, was operated on for goitre at No. 113 Australian General Hospital, Concord, and assessed as dangerously ill. He died at 1330 hours on 19 October 1941 as the result of a post-operative Thyroid complication.
