Pilot Officer Moore fought in the Battle of Britain.

Spitfire BR191 took off from Kings Cliffe on the afternoon of 3 June 1942 for a Circus 184. The aircraft was engaged and shot down off Le Touquet, France, and Pilot Officer Moore was killed.
