At 1715 hours on the night of 26/27th November 1943, Lancaster DV295 took off from Wickenby detailed to bomb Berlin. On return the aircraft overshot and crashed at 0113 hours at Barton Bendish, while trying to land at Marham airfield, Norfolk. All the crew members were killed.
