On an operational mission on 8 December 1941, Blenheim L4913 crashed 35 miles north east of Kota Bahru, Malaya. Flight Lieutenant Bowden became a POW and in 1946 it was established that Pilot Officer Logan had drowned in the East China Sea after the aircraft crashed on 8 December 1941.
