On 21 March 1944, Dakota KG366 took off from RAF Broadwell detailed to carry out a non-operational daytime ferry trip. The aircraft crashed at Model Farm, North End, near Watlington, Oxfordshire, at approximately 1130 hours when it hit trees on high ground at 750 feet. Cloud cover at the time was 4 to 6 tenths, down to 600 feet. All on board were killed in the crash.
