On 8 August 1944, Aircraftwoman Lee, a Cook’s Assistant, died from gunshot wounds when shot from a revolver accidently fired by Private Rex Lionel Knight (NX150700) (Discharged: 5 November 1945) at a private house in New Sandgate Road, Clayfield, at 2100 hours and she died at 2300 hours on the way to hospital.
