At 0243 hours on 6 December 1943 Wellington JA415 took off from Haverfordwest for Rabat Sale, Morocco. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take-off and it did not reach its destination. Following post war enquiries and investigations, it was recorded in 1948 that the missing crew members had lost their lives at sea.
