Second Lieutenant Hudson was a graduate of the second course at the New South Wales Aviation School at Richmond and joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1917.
On 6 April 1918, Second Lieutenant Hudson went missing in Sopwith Camel aircraft B2431 while on an offensive patrol. He became a Prisoner of War and died from injuries at Paderborn, Germany, on 24 April 1918.
