Sergeant Hornabrook (Wireless Air Gunner) was wounded in the right arm and left leg while flying in No. 36 Squadron Videbeest K4179 during the Endau raid on 26 January 1942. He subsequently became a Prisoner of War in March 1942. Pilot Officer Basil Glowrey (400652) the Observer on K4179 during the raid also became a Prisoner of War. The pilot was Flight Lieutenant L R Allanson (RAF).
