Flying Lieutenant Hart previously served with No. 3 Squadron and his combat claims are on 22 January 1942 an MC 200 aircraft and 15 March 1942 an MC 202 aircraft.

At 0730 hours on 9 May 1943, Avro Anson DG826 flew into hills at Black Forest, 3 kms west of Mount Macedon and three of the four on board were killed. Those on board were:
