From 9 to 20 December 1943 Leading Aircraftman Harrison, a Mess Steward, was treated a No. 3 RAAF Hospital, Concord, New South Wales, for neurasthenia. On 18 February 1944, he was re-admitted suffering from ‘Anxiety State’. On 24 March 1944, he was granted two days stand down and while on leave he died from a gunshot wound.
