On 31 January 1943, Aircraftman Class I Hamilton, a Fitter II Engines, and an emergency Motor Transport Driver, was dangerously injured when the tender he was driving collided with an aircraft, as it was landing at Bradleys Field satellite aerodrome, 8 miles west of Deniliquin. He died of his injuries later in the day.
