At 2200 hours on 12 May 1944 Leading Aircraftman Haggart, a Fitter I Airframe, was fatally wounded during an air raid when low level bombing and strafing took place at Poretta airfield, Corsica and died three days later. The following 451 Squadron members became casualties:
