On 26 March 1945, Leading Aircraftman Green, a Flight Rigger, was killed in a motor vehicle accident on the Charters Towers Road two miles from No. 13 Aircraft Repair Depot when a leave tender overturned. Leading Aircraftman Michael Melville James Hassett (47261) was injured in the accident and died three days later.
