Second Lieutenant Freadman died from a fractured skull while under pilot training when aircraft BE2e aircraft 4450 he was flying crashed. He was on his first solo flight and took off and climbed to about 200 feet, did seven or eight flat circles to the right gradually losing height to about 100 feet when the aircraft dived into the ground. Witnesses judged that the aircraft was out of control during the circles and the cause of the crash was unable to be determined. The aircraft had been flown for about 30 minutes immediately before by Cadet Raymond Eric Sly 1042 AFC (Discharged: 7 August 1919) who was also on his first solo flight and reported no problems with the aircraft.
