At 1050 hours on 1 November 1943, Wirraway A20-307departed solo on an Radio / Telephone exercise and collided with Wirraway A20-363 and crashed 2.5 miles south east of the main runway at Deniliquin. Leading Aircraftman Foley was killed in the collision.
