Flight Sergeant Fallon survived an aircraft accident on 2 August 1941 in which Leading Aircraftman Halcombe George Brock (407779) was killed.

Hurricane AB897 flown by Flight Sergeant Fallon was engaged in a raid over Akyab in Burma on 27 June 1943 protecting dive bombers, and on the return journey AB 897 spun into the sea south of Chittagong near Sonadia Island about 5 kms from the shore. At the time he was not attacked by enemy aircraft but was possibly hit by anti-aircraft fire. The aircraft spun into the sea and white smoke was observed. Flight Sergeant Fallon was not seen to bale out of the aircraft. Following post war enquiries and investigations, it was recorded in 1948 that Flight Sergeant Fallon had no known grave.
