Debris was scattered over a wide area, with a considerable concentration being found near the summit ridge of Rhinog Fawr above the Afon Artro valley in Snowdonia. At 0102 hours the aircraft sent a position signal 5015N 0608W. At 0340 hours with nothing further heard, Group Operations was requested to take action.
