On 2 April 1942, three RAAF members were killed and one fatally injured in a vehicle accident at 1845 hours on the Prince’s Highway 3 kms east of Werribee. A rear tyre of the truck in which they were travelling blew out. The members were returning from duty at the Corpus Christi Dispersal Area.
