Flight Sergeant Dufty was a crew member of Anson W2261 in which Flight Sergeant Garnet Charles Cooper (408202) (Navigator) was killed on 21 June 1943.
On 4 October 1943, Anson W2093 crashed into the sea at the head of Mallacoota Inlet following a turn and stall at low altitude, killing all four crew members. The crew members of W2039 were:
