Brother of Flight Sergeant Thomas Frank Dimmock (405300)

Wellington Z8533 took off from RAF Binbrook at 2344 hours on the night of 2/3 June 1942 to bomb Essen, Germany. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take-off and it failed to return to base. Post war it was established that the aircraft crashed at Molenbeersel (Limburg), 10 kms east north east of Bree, Belgium. Three of the crew members were killed and two became Prisoners of War.
