On 2 October 1943, Flight Lieutenant Dick (Administrative and Special Duties) drowned at Mount Lawimia, Sri Lanka. He was formerly a member of the RAF Volunteer Reserve and transferred to the RAAF with effect from 1 July 1941 (Gazette 252/44 refers)
