On 30 June 1943, Leading Aircraftman Cullum, an Instrument Repairer, was on duty when he was riding a bicycle that collided with a service vehicle panel van. The service vehicle was driven by Aircraftwoman Avice Augusta Chapman (nee McGuiness) (110271) (Discharged: 9 May 1944). The accident occurred at the intersection of Main Road and Wirraway Street, East Sale.
