During a solo navigation exercise on the 30 October 1943, Aircrew II Trainee Pilot Leading Aircraftman William Lawrence Brighton flying a No. 15 Service Flying Training School aircraft crashed at approximately 2359 hours at Arrowwood, Alberta and was killed.
