On 22 May 1945, Leading Aircraftman Bradley, an Armourer, was dangerously injured in a motor transport accident when on duty. The vehicle failed to turn a comer and hit an earth bank and overturned on the driving side of the vehicle. The accident occurred on the Western Highway, two miles west of Mudgee, New South Wales. He died on the 23 May 1945.
