At 2224 hours on the night of 30 March 1945 Stirling LK197 took off from Shepherd Grove to drop supplies consisting of 10 containers and 4 packages in Norway. The aircraft had enough fuel for 10 hours 30 minutes flying. Nothing further was heard from the aircraft or of crew members.
