On 10 February 1944, Leading Aircraftman Allan, a Trainee Pilot, was injured when he fell from a building when on duty. He was with others laying a tarpaulin over the roof of the Sergeants’ Mess beer garden and he fell at about 1400 hours and struck the back of his head on the concrete floor below. He was admitted to the Bundaberg General hospital and died of his injuries on 13 February 1944.
