Blenheim BA542 arrived at RAF Luqa, Malta, from RAF Station Bicester on 15 July 1942, on transit to the Middle East. It left Luqa at 0425 hours GMT on 16 July but failed to arrive at its destination. The remains of Sergeant Price were washed ashore at Port Said on 12 August 1942.
