LEST WE FORGET

Air Operations (No. 464 Squadron Mosquito aircraft MT129), France, 22 June 1944

Mosquito MT129 took off from RAF Thorney Island at 0107 hours on the night of 21/22nd June 1944 being one of sixteen aircraft from the Squadron detailed to bomb various targets in support of the Army invasion of France. MT129 failed to return from the mission. It was later learned that both crew members had been killed and they are buried in the Creil Communal Cemetery.

Sergeant Hadyn Llewellyn Morgan (992108) (RAFVR) (Navigator)
