Aircraft Operations (No. 456 Squadron Mosquito aircraft HK357), Belgium, 7 November 1944

On 7 November 1944, No. 456 Squadron Mosquito aircraft HK357 failed to return from a patrol to the Netherlands and Belgium. After their departure call to Durrington Ground Control Interception Radar Station, the fate of the aircraft was unknown. The crew members of HK357 were:

Ensign W G Madden (USMC)
Lieutenant E M Woodward (USMC)

These officers were one of two US Marine Corps aircrews attached to No. 456 Squadron for operational night flying experience before returning to the US to instruct on night fighting techniques.
