LEST WE FORGET
Air Operations: (No. 460 Squadron Lancaster aircraft PB379), Sweden, 30 August 1944
Lancaster PB379 was tasked to attack Stettin and on the return journey ran low on fuel and faced adverse weather conditions. The aircraft was force landed at Kalmar, Sweden and the crew was interned and later safely repatriated.
