LEST WE FORGET

Air Operations: (No. 454 Squadron Baltimore aircraft FW602), Italy, 22 November 1944

On 22 November 1944 No. 454 Squadron Baltimore FW602 was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed behind allied lines. Three crew members were pulled clear of the wreckage by allied soldiers but the pilot could not be rescued. The crew members of FW602 were:
